Press Release Body:
Magnolia, a leading television and production company specializing in creations,
production and adaptation of entertainment formats and interactive media in Italy,
has entered the virtual world of Second Life with its upcoming adaptation of the
sensational Dutch reality program L'isola Dei Famosi: SECOND LIFE. This is the
first time such an enthusiastic event has taken place in a virtual reality medium
with such demanding requirements on it\'s players.

Currently in it's production and casting phase, Celebrity Survivor: Second Life
(Or, L'isola Dei Famosi) will feature ten contestants stranded on a deserted
Island, while enduring extreme conditions and dangerous events. However, the
stranded are not without hope, as lifesaving resources that affect their Avatars
health and energy can be found by enterprising players. The selected Survivor
contestants will each receive a laptop computer optimized for Second Life
performance, and will remain entirely isolated with certain functions of their
client disabled. That's right, no idle conversations with friends lists, no
teleporting around Second Life's massive grid, no searching, no instant messaging.
Players must rely solely on one another for survival. and survive they must, as
their health and energy are measured by a wearable system, and they must eat, drink
and sleep or suffer very real consequences. Death equals elimination. Each player
must be on for 24 hours a day during the 7 week program, and their movements,
conversations, progress and failures will be broadcast globally on the internet, as
well as from designated stations within Second life.

While Casting continues through October, 3rd 2007, some contestants have already
been chosen, including a 75 year old Grandmother.

The winner will receive a Virtual Island of their own, and 6 months paid tier, as
well as a Cruise for two from Costa Crociere, a leading cruise line in Europe, with
a grand total prize package estimated at $10,000 USD.

opening to the public in 2003, it has grown explosively and today is inhabited by a
